Top tips for running your renewables

Our observations on 'What every reputable biomass installer should be telling their customers' was posted in the Environment section of the Business Daily online this week.


We believe it's important to be transparent with our customers and ensure they understand what installation of different renewable heating technologies entails, but also the ongoing effort required in running their renewables.

We'd hate to hear anyone say "If I'd known I'd have to do all this, I'd never have made the switch!"

From planning pellet deliveries, to fulfilling their obligations under the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) scheme, to getting their hands mucky with routine maintenance, there is work to be done. However, in our view it is very well worth it. To have an energy efficient heating system, with significantly lower operating costs for the long term, as well as the incentive payments under RHI for seven years - which are designed to cover the cost of the installation - has to be appealing. On top of which there's the significant carbon saving which is good for the planet and the conscience.
