Yorkshire Heat Pumps has been trading for 18 months, and in that time has seen the interest in renewable energy heating grow and grow, thanks in no small part to the government's Renewable Heat Incentive scheme. This offers financial incentives to those switching from fossil fuel systems to greener alternatives.

Interviewed recently by The Yorkshire Times, Michael Wright explains what led to him set up Yorkshire Heat Pumps and how he has seen the business develop since it started trading.

While the generous RHI payments are gradually reducing for some technologies as uptake grows, switching to a renewable system still makes financial sense, as you will have lower operating costs for the long-term.
