Domestic RHI approvals march on

In their latest weekly data update, Ofgem has indicated that domestic RHI approvals have passed the 1000 mark, while air source continues to top the table.


Domestic RHI applications and approvals are gaining momentum, with a total of 1166 approved as at 1st June. While there are minor shifts between technologies, air source heat pumps remain the most prevalent with a share of 38%. Solar thermal comes second with a 27% share, closely followed by biomass at 25%. Ground source heat pumps continue to bring up the rear at 10%.
