Which? Guide to RHI published

We're encouraged to see that Which? have applied their usual rigour to their introduction to renewables and the Renewable Heat Incentive that's been published this week.

There is an increasing amount of information on offer at the moment on renewables and within it, such diverse opinion on the likely cost of installation and return that can be expected through the RHI scheme.

Some of it is slightly concerning to us as providers as this information, from seemingly authoritative sources, risks setting up some false expectations about the upfront investment. Homebuilding & Renovating Magazine's Beginner's Guide seemed on the low side, quoting a single cost for installation rather than a range.  Whereas, the Which? Guide to the Renewable Heat Incentive provides a more comprehensive analysis and offers a spectrum of costs for installation and RHI return based on different property sizes.

The great news is that RHI is designed to recoup the cost of the installation over its seven year payment period - and in most instances to give you a very positive return on your investment. Furthermore, it will deliver you ongoing cost savings on your heating bills. So what's not to like?

If you'd like some advice about your property and what might be the right renewable solution for you and what your likely upfront investment might be, do call us on 0845 050 6539 for a 'no obligation' discussion about your project. Alternatively, you can call in and see us at our Blubberhouses showroom, or Contact us via the website and we will call you back at a time that's convenient for you.
